Thursday Road Rides

Want to explore the open road and connect with new riders? Join us at the Massillon shop for our weekly road ride, held from March 18-Nov. 4! The route varies weekly but is always scenic, with mileage of 20-30 miles. Riders may ride at whatever pace they choose. No one gets left behind!


Helmet required. Drinking water and flat repair kit strongly recommended.

Wednesday Road Rides

Roam the roads of Tuscarawas County with this weekly ride that begins from our New Philadelphia shop. Held April through September, these rides follow various scenic routes of 20-30 miles. This one is best for intermediate to advanced riders.

Average Joe Rides

A ride for the Average Joe! On this easy-paced weekly Thursday ride, riders take an hourlong neighborhood spin of about 5-6 miles, starting at our New Philadelphia shop. This one is great for the casual rider, or for those just getting into (or back into) biking.

Helmet required. Drinking water and flat repair kit recommended.

Pedaling for Pints

On the first and third Thursdays of the month from May-Oct., join us for an easy-paced, out-and-back 12-mile ride on the Hoover Trail, then reward yourself at Shale Brewing. You can even earn prizes like T-shirts and beer flight boards! Riders of all ability levels are welcome. Full details here.

Tuscazoar Tuesdays

These weekly rides, held May through Oct., are a great opportunity for beginner and intermediate mountain bikers to hit the trail! Riders meet at the parking lot of the East Side Trails at Camp Tuscazoar for 3-5 miles of MTB fun.


Helmet required. We also recommend a flat repair kit and mountain bike with suspension fork and wide range of gearing.

Thursday Mountain Rides

Camp Tuscazoar/Quail Hollow | 5:30PM

Held every other Thursday between July 1-Sept. 7, these beginner-friendly rides alternate between Quail Hollow and Camp Tuscazoar. You will need a helmet and a mountain bike with suspension fork and wide range of gearing.


Riders meet at that week's ride location. Carpooling is discouraged to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Watch Facebook for possible closings due to trail conditions.

Night Rides

Massillon shop | Sundown

Join us to see the Towpath in a whole new light (or lack thereof) on this monthly ride, held June-Oct.! Beginning at the Lake Avenue Trailhead, you'll ride either north to Canal Fulton or south to Navarre and back. For both routes, the ride is 16 miles round-trip and open to riders of all ability levels. Ernie's staff will take the front and rear.


Helmet, headlight, and taillight are required!

Moonlight Canoe

At our monthly summer night canoe events, you'll paddle downriver as twilight sets in, then enjoy a campfire and family-friendly beverages. (Sorry, no food provided due to COVID-19 restrictions, although you can purchase food in advance from the Blue Heron Café when you make your reservation.) For canoes and kayaks alike, the 3-mile trip is $20/person and the 6-mile trip is $25/person. Reservations are required and must be made at least a day in advance. Don't wait to make yours—we have sold out in the past!

Trainer Saturdays

From October to April, stop by to learn more about how to choose and use a trainer, how to integrate trainers with apps like Zwift and Peloton, and how smart technology can improve your workout. One of our trainer specialists, Bill and Larry, will be on hand to go over all the basics and answer any questions you have about indoor riding.
