As many of you know, the Governor DeWine, Dr. Amy Acton, and the Ohio Department of Health has issued a stay at home order.
In the text of this order is a list of essential businesses who may remain open. Bicycle shops are listed in that group.
We agree with this; there is a growing percentage of our community who rely on their bikes for transportation to grocery stores, healthcare, and other critical services. And there is an even larger number who rely on bikes for a slice of health, quiet, and sanity during these trying times.
After careful consideration, we have decided to remain open to keep bicycle transportation and therapy available to those who need it.
With that said, we stress to you: we are an essential business, staying open to conduct business that is essential. Every time we step outside our home we are taking a risk, not just with our life but with the lives of each of the people we meet. If you can function without coming in, please: stay home.
We’ve been here for 42 years. This is a trying time, but we will be here for bikes, advice, and good times when it is over. We are all in this together.
